Ok, I continue to hear bodybuilders talk about egg whites as this superior source of protein and I am tired. There is a branched chain amino acid in the yolk of an egg which completes the protein in the whites. It is called leucine.
If we skip the yolks we miss out on the complete nature of eggs. All sources of protein are compared to eggs because eggs are 100% useable. Chicken is @86% useable. Meats are @80-90% useable. You get the point. A while back whey sales-people attempted to state that whey protein is superior to all other proteins. FALSE!
Whey is a good source of branched chain amino acids which help us stay anabolic (leucine). Whey can make a great shake which is easy to consume. Whey protein at best is 86% useable. Do the math. Eggs are far superior to any other source of protein. We need to have a variety of proteins in any given day. Eggs should be a staple food of any person wanting to build the structures which move our bodies (muscles).
We will never talk about vegan; it is ridiculous (unhealthy).
