Fitness
Training is relative to the goals. If you are training for a
marathon you will not be competitive in powerlifting and vice versa. Know where
you stand. Stand there. Do not pretend to be all things to all sports. That is
impossible.
Modern fitness facilities are interested in one thing alone,
PROFITS. That is fine if they admit it. They say they have your best interests
at heart. If that were true, the facility would have experienced trainers on
staff. Ten years of experience is a beginner.
Training is relative to your goals. If you do not believe
strength contributes to the goals you have ask the trainer. If they tell you one
only needs to be so strong get a different trainer. The one we are speaking of
does not understand what strength does.
