I enjoy helping people. The bottom line in any service is taking someone’s wants and needs and helping them save time and money reaching them. We are all in service in some capacity. We must help others whenever the opportunity arises. I was raised a certain religion, Catholic, and we were taught to treat others as we would like to be treated. I am not religious as many people claim to be. But, I do adhere to this principle.
I was lucky when I started training. I have had two coaches who were world champions. This is something for which I am very grateful. Helping others find information it took years to find is my goal. The internet has a lot of information. It makes finding information relatively easy. I say too easy. There is more bad information out there than good, solid, fact based training information. If the person has done something you may want to do, but realistically cannot ever expect to do, be careful. I will never bench press 1000 lbs. it would be cool. I never will. I will not look at the training of these people for very long. They may do an exercise I should be doing. They may give a tip on technique I should follow. Training percentages and recommendations are to be avoided from someone this far ahead of me. I will always use their performances as motivation, but that’s pretty much it. Learn everything you can and compare it to everything else you know. This is my definition of intelligence. Discard the bad information from active files but never forget it.
Back to helping others. There is not one person alive that can say they did everything they did in life without help. Help someone out. The universe will pay you back. Hey, what if the only payback is happiness? I will take that, any day, as my reward. I got lucky in the start of my career. If someone helps you out you may have the successes I’ve had and more. That depends on your goals.
Get stronger!
